A 60-year-old man is hospitalized after being hit by a car on the West Side, according to SAPD.

SAN ANTONIO — A 60-year-old man was hospitalized Friday night after he was hit by a car on the city’s West Side, San Antonio police said.

Officers responded to the report of a major accident at 21:54 in the 8100 block of Marbach Road.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the man was standing on the west lanes of Marbach Road near SW Loop 410 when he was hit by a gray Cadillac.

The driver did not see the man and immediately stopped to provide assistance, police said.

The man was taken to a local hospital with injuries incompatible with life.

The traffic police said the driver showed no signs of intoxication.

In addition, the driver had the right-of-way at the time of the accident and no charges have been filed at this time, police said.
