A little cooler on Sunday

Even though a Pacific cold front passed over North Texas on Saturday, temperatures are still above normal for this time of year. Sunday’s highs will rise from the top 50 to the bottom 60. Our normal high is 56.

A fresh south and southwest wind will only intensify the highs at the beginning of the week. Also with this wind direction, mountain cedar pollen will rush into North Texas. Expect temperatures to rise into the mid-70s by Wednesday.

Another Pacific cold front will pass through the area from Wednesday night to Thursday morning. This frontal passage will bring a low chance of rain. Following this system, the highs will fall from 50 to the mid-60s.

Milder weather will end next weekend when highs return to near 70. This relatively mild picture is due to the flow of Pacific air spreading over much of the country. This weather is likely to last until mid-January.
