A man who allegedly set his own house on fire in a confrontation with SWAT has been denied $4.5 million bail.

HOUSTON (KIAH) — A Houston man who fought SWAT and allegedly set his own house on fire was denied $4.5 million bail by a judge Tuesday.

A Harris County judge denied release to Pablo Patino when he violated a protection order when he was charged with assaulting his wife back in December, according to our media partners at ABC13.

Patino, 28, was arrested after a standoff with Harris County law enforcement and SWAT units in northern Harris County after he set fire to a house located in the 3200 block of Lotus Blossom Street last Thursday.

He was charged with aggravated assault and arson in another incident last week in which he allegedly set fire to his relatives’ house to lure his ex-wife out of the house and then, according to officials, Patino ran her over with his car. She received minor injuries.
