According to SAPD, a man was stabbed multiple times in an attack near a downtown motel.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are conducting a search in downtown trying to find the man who attacked someone with a knife early Friday morning.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on the 900 block of South Frio Street, near Guadalupe Street and Interstate 10.

According to police, a man in his 20s and 30s suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed several times by another man. The victim told officers that he had an argument with the man, but did not know why he was upset because he did not speak Spanish.

Police said the suspect, who lives in a limousine near a nearby funeral home, fled the scene with a woman who also lived with him.

The victim made his way across the street to the River Inn Motel, where he knocked on the door of a friend’s room, asking for help. He was taken by ambulance to the district hospital, where he is expected to recover.

The SAPD said they were looking for the assailant and a woman believed to be a witness.

The investigation into the attack is ongoing, police said.
