Authorities say Dallas County has arrested a second jailbreak after crashing a stolen car.

Dallas County sheriff’s deputies on Monday arrested a man who they say crashed a stolen sports car during a chase on Interstate 35E.

Tyler Charles Payne, 31, has been charged with aggravated robbery and non-identification. It is unknown if he has a lawyer.

Just before 2 p.m. Monday, authorities tracked down a Porsche they said Payne stole in Dallas after dumping a Cadillac SUV stolen earlier in Frisco. Deputies were following Payne south on I-35E when he collided with another vehicle near Eighth Street, the department said.

Payne exited the Porsche, approached the Pontiac and “attempted a second aggravated robbery” before being taken into custody, deputies said.

He was taken to the hospital where he remained on Tuesday and was stable.

Deputies said Payne, of Collin County, escaped jails in Hinds County, Mississippi on Christmas Eve and Choctaw County, Oklahoma in November.

In Mississippi, he was arrested on charges of armed theft after police said he took the car from his grandparents, who drove the child to school, according to WAPT-TV. His charges in Oklahoma include car theft, assault, battery and resisting arrest, according to KTEN-TV.
