The Berne High School student has been selected as a finalist for this year’s competition. Honors Achievement Series.
Connor West will travel to New York to perform on the series in early February at Carnegie Hall, located at 881 7th Ave.
According to Web siteThe Honors Performance Series was created to showcase the most talented young musicians of today.
The series allows young musicians to meet other like-minded musicians in the US, gives students the opportunity to perform under professional conductors, and showcases the city’s performing arts scene, according to a press release.
This achievement came after West received a two-year Texas state award as a musician.
