Car enthusiasts and coffee drinkers come to College Station for the car show.

COLLEGE STATION, TX (KBTX) — Car enthusiasts and coffee lovers gathered in College Station’s Century Square on Sunday for Cars and Coffee, a monthly event that brings car lovers together to network.

The free event was hosted by Century Square, Texas A&M Sports Car Club and Harvest Coffee Bar.

All types of cars and trucks, from the latest models to the classics, were available to everyone.

Brandon Belanger is president of the Texas A&M Sports Car Club. He says the meetings give car enthusiasts the opportunity to just show up and be in the company of like-minded people.

“There aren’t many opportunities for enthusiasts to truly express themselves, get together and be in the vogue of the community, especially here in the Brazos Valley,” Belanger said. “You have Houston, Dallas and Austin. They have these events, but there is not much going on here in the Brazos Valley, and that is where we step in to provide that gap for all motorists in the area.”

The Texas A&M Sports Car Club was founded in 1968 and is one of the few university-sponsored sports car clubs in the country. It is also the largest student car club in the world.

Live music also played at The Green.

The car and coffee collection is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
