Moody, TexasKWTX)- The Moody man was sentenced to six years in prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty to five counts of possession of child pornography.
Judge Susan Kelly of Waco’s 54th District Court accepted a plea agreement between prosecutors and Terry Alan Rushing and sentenced him to a simultaneous prison sentence.
Rushing, 59, must serve at least a quarter of a six-year sentence before he becomes eligible for parole. He must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Rushing’s lawyer Jack Hurley declined to comment after Rushing was sentenced on Wednesday.
McLennan County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested Rushing in May 2022 after they received information that Rushing was uploading child pornography to an online account.
Investigators searched Rushing’s workplace and seized his mobile phone, according to sworn testimony.
Rushing admitted to detectives that he had stored and viewed images and videos of child pornography, officials said.
