According to family members of the victim, 25-year-old Rava Cooke, Cincinnati was sentenced to 15 to 19 years in prison after a plea deal was struck.

Last February, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from the Midland area of Highway 68 South and Jonesboro Road that two people had been shot dead. When police arrived, they found two people, one dead and the other with a bullet in his leg.

The deceased was later identified as CJ Jones, 18, of Chillicothe. The second injured but survived was Jones’ 17-year-old brother. At the time, officials said the younger brother was being treated for his injuries in the Blancester ER and was later taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

The incident, according to authorities, began after teenagers reacted to a Facebook Marketplace post about the car being sold. The sheriff at the time said the sale announcement was a trap to lure the victims into a robbery.
