HOUSTON (KIAH) — A federal jury in Houston found a 33-year-old former state soldier guilty of assaulting two women in the line of duty, US Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani said.
The jury deliberated for three hours before reaching a guilty verdict on Lee Ray Boykin Jr. after a four-day trial.
“My office is firmly committed to ensuring the civil rights of every person in the Southern District of Texas,” Hamdani said. “We rely on our police and federal agents every day to serve and protect. This lone officer, however, used his power to stalk and prey on his victims for his own sexual gratification.
We are pleased that the jury agreed that this behavior is unacceptable in our community.”
