Constable: Texas woman raped, held hostage for days by a man she met on a dating app on Christmas Eve.

Houston, Texas (KWTX)- Harris County District 4 deputy constables arrested Zachary Kent Mills on charges of first-degree aggravated kidnapping after a woman accused a man of assaulting her.

On December 29, 2022, MPs approached a residential complex in the 24200 block of Kuykendal Road to investigate a report of a woman being “brutally assaulted” by a man she met on an online dating platform.

The suspect was later identified as Mills, deputies said.

An investigation revealed that the woman arrived at the Mills residence on Christmas Eve and was held against her will until she managed to escape on December 29 and seek help from a neighbor.

The woman was then taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

“While she was held against her will, she was denied food and water, she was repeatedly assaulted and sexually assaulted, resulting in serious bodily harm,” the constable’s office said.

On December 30, police raided Mills’ home and successfully apprehended him.

He was jailed in the Harris County Jail on $50,000 bail.

“Additional charges may be filed at a later date after further investigation,” Constable Mark Herman said.
