Current Vice President Named New President of CoxHealth Springfield Hospitals

 

Ashley Kasad, Vice President of Clinical Services, will take over as President of Springfield Hospitals and Senior Vice President of Systems Operations at CoxHealth in late January, according to a press release.

Kasad, who has been with the hospital since January 2020, currently oversees oncology, neurology, cardiovascular services, laboratory and radiology.

During the pandemic, Kasad was CoxHealth’s Deputy Head of Planning and COVID-19 Response. She built CoxHealth’s COVID-19 census prediction model, provided testing and hand-held imaging equipment, developed our monoclonal antibody infusion center, and led CoxHealth’s vaccination efforts, resulting in 100,000 vaccinations in three months.

Kasad previously spent five years at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to that, she attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, for a master’s degree in health and business administration, and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
