Dallas Cowboys fans react to another playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers ended the Cowboys season with a 19–12 victory in the NFC Divisional Round on Sunday, January 22, eliminating Dallas from the playoffs for the second year in a row. Fans couldn’t stop talking about how the Sunday night game ended on social media.

Seven behind and with a chance to force overtime, the Cowboys went into an odd formation with six seconds left in the game. The Cowboys were on their 24-yard line when running back Ezekiel Elliot passed the ball to Prescott while the offensive linemen were lined up as receivers. Elliott was blasted by linebacker Arik Armstead, and Prescott’s 8-yard pass on Turpin’s CaVontai was immediately blasted, ending the Cowboys’ season.

Cowboys kicker Brett Maher had fans on edge after missing four extra points in the NFC Wild Card last week. Fans were worried if he could hit when the team needed it against the 49ers.

So, of course, Maher’s shot was blocked while trying to score an extra point after a Dalton Schultz touchdown in the tight end in the second quarter. However, Maher scored two field goals.

It wasn’t Prescott’s best day on the field. The quarterback finished with 206 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, which turned into six points for the 49ers. Fans are now interrogating the Dallas quarterback.

Once again, the Cowboys will enter the offseason early. So of course the haters come out of the tree.
