Dallas police are investigating a shooting involving an officer at the West Oak Cliff apartment complex.
The department tweeted around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday that it was “investigating an officer-involved shooting” on the 2500 block of Bahama Drive, just off Fort Worth Avenue. The police call log shows that the officers began answering the call of an assistant at this location just after 3:00 pm.
It is unclear what led to the shooting and how many people were involved. It is also unclear if the officer fired or was shot.
The police planned to hold a press conference outside the Bahama Glen apartments on Wednesday afternoon.
News helicopter footage shows officers treating at least one person who was then taken away in an ambulance, KXAS-TV (NBC5) reported.
