Dallas police looking for driver in fatal Oak Cliff crash

Dallas police are looking for a driver suspected of being involved in a fatal Oak Cliff hit that occurred early Wednesday morning.

Police described the vehicle as a 2005-2010 GMC pickup truck that appeared black in CCTV footage released by the department.

Around 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, police officers responded to a major crash on the 300 block of South Marsalis Avenue and found a man nearby on the sidewalk, hit and run, police said. The man, who was not identified by police, died from his injuries at the scene.

Police said investigators determined that an unidentified suspect drove out of a Marsalis Avenue parking lot onto southbound Interstate 35E before making a wrong left turn on Marsalis Avenue, running onto the sidewalk and hitting a man.
