Data: Egg prices have nearly quadrupled since 2019

Eggs continue to make headlines as people talk about the rising cost of a staple food in grocery stores.

Egg prices are averaging around $4 a dozen in the US South after a sharp rise in 2022 following a solid rise in years past.
