Dejonte Murray speaks candidly about his Spurs career in new sports podcast

A year ago, Dejont Murray was one of the brightest stars in the young Spurs squad. Now, his fall from San Antonio’s good graces continues to worsen sharply.

Murray talked about a variety of topics during the nearly two-hour meeting, but he didn’t mince words when he explained how the Spurs treated him during his NBA rookie years.

“It was a roller coaster, I was walking home crazy. My uncle lived with me and I went home crazy. you passed,” Murray said in a podcast. “I came to the arena, and they were like:“ You don’t dress up today, I don’t even have a sports jacket. ”

Murray said that the Spurs eventually offered him the jacket of teammate Pau Gasol. But he kept celebrating the fact that he beat former teammates Tony Parker and Patty Mills in practice but still didn’t score on the floor as head coach Gregg Popovich continued to stick with the veterans on the team.
