Derek Wolfe, a former Broncos player, killed a huge mountain lion in Colorado.

DENVER (KDVR) — The former Denver Broncos player garnered a lot of attention on social media after he killed a huge mountain lion — and posted a photo to prove it.

Derek Wolfe, a former Broncos quarterback who was part of the Super Bowl 50 team, posted the photo on Thursday afternoon.

In the photo, Wolfe is 6ft 5in and holds a massive cougar that looks just about his size.

Wolfe said the mountain lion hunt began on Tuesday. A hunting guide he knew said the lion had attacked domestic dogs and hid under a deck in Grant, a small town in Park County.

So the guide and Wolfe set out to track the cat up and down the mountain. Wolfe then said that he had shot the cat with a bow.

He then had to carry the huge animal back to his truck.

Hunting mountain lions in Colorado is legal, although there are many rules associated with it, including the hunter contacting the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office after a kill and reporting their name, client ID, date, and unit of the kill. , and half a lion.

FOX31 from Nexstar contacted Colorado Parks and Wildlife and was told that Wolfe was following them all.
