HOUSTON (KIAH) — A Missouri City officer and Houston mayoral candidate has been arrested after police said she assaulted her boyfriend.
Robin Williams, 32, was arrested on January 10 on charges of relentless assault on his family. She was released from prison the next day, 11 January. At that time, Williams had nothing to say to reporters.
According to Williams’ website, she served in the United States Marine Corps on active duty from 2011 to 2015 and continued her service as a United States Marine Corps reservist until 2018, when she joined the American Red Cross Department of International Human Services.
Her campaign did not say if this would affect her run for the next mayor of Houston.
The Missouri City Police Department issued the following statement:
“On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Missouri Police Officer Robin Williams was taken into custody by the Missouri City Police Department as a result of a criminal investigation by Harris County District 7 Constable. Any further inquiries should be directed to the Harris County District 7 Constable’s office. The Missouri Police Department is fully cooperating with the agencies conducting this investigation.”
