Disney legend Bill Farmer shares a new role with the Reno Cordillera International Film Festival

RENO, Nevada (COLO) – Bill Farmer has been the iconic voice of Goofy and Pluto for 36 years. He was inducted into the Disney Legends Hall of Fame in 2009 for his voice work in countless Disney and other animated films. He brought Horace Horsecollar, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester the Cat, Foghorn Leghorn and many other beloved characters to life. Most recently, he stepped out from behind the microphone to host a Disney+ series. It’s a dog’s life where one of the episodes was even filmed in Reno!

He stopped at the morning break to share all that his career has offered to people, as well as to express his excitement about his new role as Chairman of the Board of the Cordillera International Film Festival (CIFF). Festival founder Emily Skyle-Golden also joined Farmer on Morning Break to raise the excitement for this year’s festival, which runs from July 27-31.

Since its inception in 2017, the Cordillera International Film Festival has grown into the largest premiere film festival in Nevada. It celebrates the art of filmmaking and screenwriting, and provides a platform for underrepresented communities to educate and promote inclusion through film-assisted storytelling. CIFF has been named one of the Top 100 FilmFreeway Film Festivals out of over 10,000 film festivals worldwide. Click here for more information.
