‘Do your job’: Abbott personally delivers letter to president upon arrival in El Paso

EL PASO, TX (KTSM). Texas Gov. Greg Abbott today personally delivered a letter to President Joe Biden upon his arrival in El Paso for his first trip to the border, urging him to “do his job” and secure the borders by enforcing federal immigration laws.

In the letter, Abbott presented five specific actions he said the president should take immediately.

“This chaos is a direct result of your failure to enforce the immigration laws passed by Congress,” the letter said. “Your open borders policy has galvanized cartels that have made their fortunes by trading in deadly fentanyl and even human beings. The Texans are paying a particularly high price for your failure, sometimes even with their lives, local leaders in your own party will tell you if given the chance. On behalf of all Americans, I implore you to secure our border by abiding by the immigration laws of Congress.”

The Governor handed the letter to President Biden after welcoming him to the airfield at El Paso International Airport.
