Firefighters respond to a blaze at the North Side housing estate

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Fire Department responded to a fire at an apartment complex on the north side of the city, SAFD said.

The fire broke out around 9:17 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Brightwood Place, near Poniente Lane and La Sombra.

The SAFD said the fire started on the balcony of an upstairs apartment and spread to neighboring apartments. None of the residents of the house were present at the time of the fire.

According to SAFD, no one was injured in the fire.

An estimate of damage to the structure was not disclosed.
