HEB will open a second location in Frisco

HEB opens second location in Frisco. The company already owns the land, but construction on the new grocery store has yet to begin.

A second location will open at the southwest corner of US 380 W. University and FM 423 on Gee Road near Little Elm, which was previously purchased by HEB.

According to NBCDFW, Texas grocery store chain HEB was granted a 30-day extension to submit preliminary work to Frisco’s planning and zoning department. Once the department receives the site, they will review the site plan and street map to ensure the proposal meets the city’s requirements.

So don’t get too excited, HEB has until January 24 to post the plan to the Frisco Department of Planning and Zoning, and there’s still a lot of work to do before any construction can begin.

“The construction date for this facility is unknown,” HEB spokesperson Mabry Jackson said. local profile.

The first HEB Frisco was a big hit in the city when it opened on September 21, 2022. When the doors opened at 6 a.m., the official headcount was over 1,500. The line snaked around the front and side of the store. HEB laid the groundwork for the Frisco store for the first time in June 2021.

“We are thrilled to strengthen our commitment to DFW Metroplex and provide the Frisco and Plano communities with the best that HEB has to offer,” said Juan-Carlos Ryuk, Executive Vice President of HEB North West Food/Drug, at the time. “Our North Texas HEB offices continue to thrive and this HEB store will allow us to answer the longstanding call for HEB in this growing community.”

Before your new store opens, be sure to stock up on HEB merchandise to show support for your favorite grocery store in style.
