Houston Auto Show kicks off with new manufacturer lineups

The 2023 Houston Auto Show opened to the public on Wednesday with new offerings and presentations from the world’s top automakers.

This week, the NRG Center will showcase the latest U.S. models from Chevy, Ford, Honda and more. Some of the most eye-catching vehicles on the show floor include the new 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 meticulously finished in arctic white and carbon fiber, and the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E.

Also on offer this week are a host of events where guests can get behind the wheel of brand new cars and ride the circuits set up on the convention grounds. Vehicles available for test drives and rides include the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x3e and Dodge Challenger. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license, provide proof of insurance, and meet age requirements, which vary by manufacturer.

Visitors should be sure to check out the many electric vehicles available. Battery-powered trucks and cars have been gaining attention in Houston in 2022, although gas-powered giants like the Chevy Suburban Premier have also generated unsurprising interest from Texas auto enthusiasts.

General admission tickets for the event are sold at HoustonAutoShow.com. The event runs from Wednesday, January 25 to Sunday, January 29. Tickets are $20 and the conference room is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM PT weekdays and Saturdays. On Sunday the show will open at 10:00 and close at 18:00. Tickets can also be purchased at the NRG Center. The ticket office opens 15 minutes before the doors open.
