Police said the noise alerted neighbors that something was wrong. When he went out to investigate, he noticed a man breaking into his neighbor’s empty house.
At some point, the man rushed at a neighbor. Police said it was then that a neighbor fired a gun, killing the man. The neighbor remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police as their investigation continues.
