(NEXSTAR) – The Queen of Pop returns to the Texas Capitol for the first time in nearly 40 years. On Tuesday, music icon Madonna announced the launch of her 2023 “holiday tour” that promises a “party” and a retrospective of her four decades of career.
According to Madonna.com, the tour will stop at Austin’s Moody Center on September 21st.
The last time the 64-year-old Material Girl toured Austin was on May 5, 1985 at the Frank Ervin Center during The Virgin Tour in support of their first two albums.
The Holiday Tour will also stop at the Toyota Center in Houston and the American Airlines Center in Dallas on September 13 and 18, respectively.
Overall, Madonna has scheduled dates in Texas for six of her 11 concert tours. Most dates were in Houston, and her last Lone Star State tour was the 2016 Rebel Heart Tour.
Tickets for the Austin concert go on sale Friday, January 20 at 10:00 am. The Holiday Tour officially kicks off July 15 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
