The man was arrested in connection with the disappearance of Kayla Kelly, 33, who went missing last week, according to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.
Ocastor Ferguson, 32, also known as Kevin Brown, has been identified as a person with an interest in Kelly’s disappearance, the sheriff’s office said. The department added that Ferguson was arrested and charged with kidnapping. Online prison records showed he was arrested on Saturday in Grande Prairie.
His bail is $1 million, according to the sheriff’s office. It is unknown if he has a lawyer.
Kelly’s friends reported her missing on Wednesday after she hadn’t been seen for “several days,” the sheriff’s office said. They added that her car was found in a “remote area” in Frisco.
The incident is being investigated. The police did not provide further information.
