Man dies after being hit by train in southeast Tarrant County

A man died after being hit by a train in southeastern Tarrant County on Thursday afternoon.

Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies responded around 12:50 p.m. at the 7500 block on Hudson Cemetery Road, south of Kennedale.

The Union Pacific said a northbound train hit a man walking near the intersection of Hudson Cemetery and South Eden Road.

Deputies began cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the victim, and paramedics took him to the hospital, the sheriff’s office said. The man, whose name has not been released, died at the hospital.

Union Pacific said the train crew was unharmed and the incident is still under investigation.
