Man shot dead while robbing a store in Richmond

Police said they searched the area looking for the suspect but were unable to find him.

RICHMOND, Texas. Richmond police are looking for a suspect who shot a man during a robbery.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at an office at South 9th and Jackson Streets in the Richmond area.

Witnesses told police that an armed robber entered the store and demanded the property before shooting the victim. According to police, the robber ran away, taking items from the store and the man he shot.

Rescuers were called to the scene and tried to save the man’s life, but he died after being taken to the hospital.

Police said they searched the area looking for the suspect, but could not find him, so they are asking for help from the public.

The suspect is described as a male of a slight build, approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall. He was wearing khaki trousers and an orange life jacket, as well as a shirt of an unknown color. He was also wearing a mask, gloves, helmet and sunglasses.
