NASA Conference Provides K-12 Teachers Up to 24 Hours of Continuing Education

HOUSTON (KTAL/KMSS) – NASA and the Space Center Houston are offering teachers of all K-12 disciplines a three-day course based on science, technology, engineering and math.

Teachers from all over the world joined the Space Science Educators Conference last year and made personal contacts in the field of space exploration, and you can too!

During the educational conference, which will be held from February 8 to 11 at the Houston Space Center, teachers will have the opportunity to:

  • hear inspiring keynote speakers
  • participate in sessions curated by NASA experts
  • network with presenters and other teachers
  • get innovative and exciting lessons for your class
  • take tours of the Houston Space Center exhibits and NASA sites
  • earn up to 24 hours of continuing education credit

You will also be able to watch as many sessions as you want, digitally, on demand, throughout the year!

Can’t get to Houston? Everything is fine. Virtual events are also available for teachers.

Teachers can also apply to join the Space Studies Educator Group. The team is committed to developing leadership qualities by creating innovative STEM programs for students, schools, and communities. Crew members serve and lead space science educators in their respective regions.
