North Carolina police warn the public about possible hate crimes

We live in a crazy world where random crimes happen all over the country with no explanation and no specific purpose. That’s why the North Carolina police are sounding the alarm to let people know about the latest hate crime. The North Carolina Department of Agriculture recently conducted a scheduled inspection of gas stations Tuesday, January 24, in Forest City, North Carolina, when they made a shocking discovery.

Inspectors found razor blades on the handles of a gas station at a Roco gas station in Ellenborough. They called the authorities, which led to searches of other stations in the area, and, alarmingly enough, they found more! Lieutenant Brandon Rothrock of the Forest City Police Department said he found the blade at a 74 Junction gas station. Another blade was found at the Oak Street station.

The Department of Agriculture has launched a full investigation with city and state law enforcement to try to find answers. Here’s what they know so far:

Lieutenant Brandon Rothrock said, “There is no explanation why anyone did this.” So, North Carolina authorities are taking the initiative and warning everyone of the potential danger. Rothrock said: “If you pump gas, check. Look before you grab. Protect yourself as you need to,” He continued. “It will take hours of watching the video to see if we can find the suspect.”

Meanwhile, the lieutenant stated that they did not know how long the blades had been at gas stations. The good news is that there have been no reports of injuries. So far, no other state has reported the presence of razor blades at gas stations. Stay safe, everyone.
