CHINA SPRING, TX (KWTX)- A China Spring High School student was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 18, after a police officer was cut during a search, China Spring Independent School District superintendent Dr. Mark Faulkner confirmed to KWTX.
“We had an incident where an officer was injured while trying to search a student for possession of banned substances,” Faulkner said.
According to Faulkner, the student resisted the search. He did not specify whether the student was found to have a prohibited substance.
It is unclear how the officer received the cut during the incident.
According to Faulkner, the police officer needed stitches.
At the moment there is no additional information.
