Police identify suspect in north Dallas apartment shooting that killed three, injured two

Police say the 25-year-old was the shooter who shot and killed a woman and four men near the Far North Dallas apartment complex on Friday, killing three of them.

Police said Evin Giovanni Mata-Guzmán should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him should call 911.

Around 4:30 a.m., officers were sent to the Landmark on the Valley apartments in the 8,500 Lazy Acres Circle block off Spring Valley Road, where they found five people shot to death in a back parking lot.

Two of the three victims were publicly identified by police on Sunday: Caidin Flores, 29, and Stanley Chachagua, 22. Police said they were keeping the identity of the third victim under wraps until next of kin were notified.

Two more men were taken to the hospital on Friday. One is in critical condition, the other is stable.
