Police looking for second suspect in northeast Dallas weekend shooting

One suspect in Saturday’s deadly shooting in northeast Dallas has been found in hospital with a gunshot wound, while a second remains at large, police said.

Officers arrived at the 9100 block of Skillman Street around 6:20 p.m. and found a man, whose name had not yet been publicly identified, lying on the ground in a parking lot with gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Investigators later confirmed that the suspect in the shooting had been treated for the gunshot wound in a hospital. According to police, an arrest warrant has been obtained for 20-year-old Malika Brown. It is not yet clear whether Brown remained in the hospital or was jailed as of Sunday afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators believe a second suspect may have been involved in the shooting.
