Man, woman and child found dead
Three people, including a child, died in an accident on the north side of San Antonio.
Ken BrancaThree people, including a child, died in a rollover accident on the northeast side of San Antonio late Sunday night, January 8, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Police said they found a woman, a man and a child dead on arrival.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Thousand Oaks Drive and Alamo Blanco Street, near Perrin Beitel and Bulwerde Road, police said. Police said a red Nissan Sedan was hit by a silver Jeep Gran Cherokee as it crossed Thousand Oaks Drive.
Police said the Nissan made an unsafe left turn towards the Alamo Blanco and failed to yield to the Jeep, resulting in a T-collision.
The impact caused the Nissan to roll over and crash into a power pole, knocking down a pole and some power lines. San Antonio fire officials tried to rescue three people in the Nissan but were found dead upon arrival, police said.
Officials took two other people in a jeep to the hospital as a precaution. According to police, the driver of the jeep remained at the scene, was not drunk and cooperated with the investigation.
None of the victims have yet been identified, and the police are still investigating the accident.
Relatives at the scene told KSAT that the victims were siblings, a 20-year-old woman with her two brothers, aged 10 and 17. mother. According to the radio station, they were only a few blocks from the house.
The San Antonio Police Department, San Antonio Fire Department and ambulances responded to the incident.
