SHREVEPORT, Louisiana. The Storm Prediction Center says the eastern half of ArkLaTex is at low risk of severe storms on Wednesday (yellow fill). The rest of the area is at marginal risk (green shading). Gusty winds, hail and occasional tornadoes are possible.
The storm system associated with Wednesday’s severe weather risk was over the US 4 Corners region Tuesday afternoon, as shown in satellite/radar imagery.
Heavy showers are possible during these storms. The heaviest rains are predicted over the eastern part of ArkLaTex.

Showers and several storms may move into the western part of the area from Wednesday morning.
A storm line can develop in the late morning and early afternoon. Some of them may be serious.
Stormy weather is forecast for the rest of the day over the eastern half of ArkLaTex.
Storms are forecast to move into Mississippi by evening. Then the cleansing of the sky must follow.
