Red telephone booth, prohibition will open in the colony

Red Phone Booth will take its 1920s prohibition experience to Colony, Texas. The new location will open in Grotto at Grandscape this March.

Red Phone Booth is a unique place to dine and drink, along with turn-of-the-century cocktails and an exclusive cigar program. While the lounge will be open to the public, part of the ban experience is that guests need a secret phone number from a member, local hotel or restaurant to call a restored London vintage red telephone box to gain access.

“We’ve always loved DFW’s large plaza and are excited to expand the Red Phone Booth brand to include The Colony, TX,” said owner and founder Stephen de Haan. “Grandscape was introduced to us by a family, and after visiting an incredible mix of shops, restaurants and nightlife, we knew Red Phone Booth would be the perfect complement for adults looking for a unique Prohibition experience where they can enjoy award-winning cocktails while focusing on in conversation with friends and colleagues.

The nearly 6,000-square-foot venue will feature 100-year-old reclaimed brick walls from a textile factory, cozy fireplaces, and a hand-painted ceiling by acclaimed artist Christian Wagoner.

Guests can enjoy the extensive Red Phone Booth cocktail menu, which includes a wide selection of over 400 spirits including rare bourbon, whiskey, scotch, tequila and a selection of Japanese whiskeys. The selection of dishes includes Italian-style starters such as stuffed peppadew peppers, polpette and insalata di bistecca. The menu will also feature a variety of fresh, authentic Neapolitan pizzas made to order.

One of the highlights of Red Phone Booth is its large selection of cigars. Cigar lovers can choose from over two hundred cigars from the temperature and humidity controlled humidor. The curation of the collection prioritized the quality and desirability of cigars over the quantity of any one brand, and the establishment will continually be updated with new merchandise.

Members and their guests can feel safe and get the most out of smoking while relaxing in the lounge. The “Red Telephone Booth” has a state-of-the-art ventilation system that completely cleans or replaces 100% of the indoor air approximately every two minutes. Red Phone Booth also uses Needlepoint bipolar ionization technology, which has been proven to virtually eliminate static SARS-CoV-2. This air purification shows a 99.4% reduction in surface deformation within 30 minutes.

During the week of February 20-25 from 4pm to 8pm, Red Phone Booth will host various open door tours for potential members. expected to be sold out and mutual across all locations, they start at $350 for an associate membership; $1,000 for a Premium Membership in a locker; $3,000 for corporate membership (includes 4 individuals); and $5,000 for executive membership (includes 4 people).
