Robbers broke through American Jewelers wall and stole $2 million worth of gold and diamonds

MESKITE (CBSDFW.COM)- Robbers breached a wall at an American Jewelers store at the Town East Mall over the weekend, according to Mesquite police.

The thieves escaped with jewelry worth about $2 million or more.

The worker discovered that the store had been robbed on Saturday morning.

American Jewelers shares a wall with Sears, and both stores are separated by a concrete wall. Police said the thieves first broke into Sears, then broke through a concrete wall, drywall broke out, and they broke into a jewelry store.

Once inside the store, the robbers stole a large amount of jewelry.

The officers work with mall security to get video from the mall.
