Sheriff: Texas woman found mutilated, husband arrested

WALLER COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) – A man was arrested after his wife was found mutilated on Wednesday, authorities said.

Jared James Deakus, 21, was arrested on murder charges, according to a statement from the Waller County Sheriff’s Office.

At 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office received a call about a death in the 2000 block of Oak Hollow Boulevard. close to Magnolia.

Upon arrival, police found the woman’s body in a small apartment building behind the main part of the house, authorities said.

“The deputies reported that the woman’s body was mutilated,” the report says.

The deputies detained Dikus, who was at the scene. According to the report, detectives were told that he was the woman’s husband and is believed to have killed her.

“The husband was interrogated and gave a full confession, confessing to the murder of his wife,” the report said.

In broadcast reports, Waller County Sheriff Troy Guidry said the woman’s body was dismembered and evidence shows the weapon used was a kitchen knife.

The case remains under investigation.
