Sports Scientist: Carly Corrodi, Burbank High School

SAN ANTONIO – Meet the new Instant Replay Athlete of the Week, Carly Corrodi of Burbank High School.

Carly has been a member of the varsity volleyball team for three years now. In her junior season, she ranked first in assists, fourth in digs, and fifth in kills in District 27-5A. In her senior year, she was named to the district’s first team. Carly has a GPA of 3.7 and is in the top 35% of her class. Carly plans to play college volleyball after school and major in business.

WHAT MEMORIES WILL YOU RUN WITH YOU WHEN YOU GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL?

“My fondest memories of high school are my perfect junior season. It was just a great trip, she was great academically too. The team and coaches were very pleased.”

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU GIVE TO YOUR COMPANIONS?

“Be sure to get ahead of your work. It’s easier to be ahead than behind, so make sure you put your school first. As a student athlete, you will learn time management. It will also help you learn how to excel academically and athletically.”

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL?

“I want to go to college to study business and I plan to continue my volleyball career.”
