HOUSTON (KIAH) — A powerful storm system hit areas in southeast Texas Tuesday afternoon, causing tornadoes. The system brought down poles and power lines, overturned vehicles and tore roofs off homes and businesses in communities east of Houston. Hundreds of thousands were left without electricity.
