SAN ANTONIO – A 17-year-old boy was shot while selling vape cartridges on the city’s north side, according to San Antonio police.
The shooting occurred at 1:26 a.m. Saturday at the rear parking lot of the YMCA, located at 16103 Henderson Pass.
Police said the teen met with the shooter to sell him e-cigarette cartridges.
The shooter pulled out a gun and demanded the bag of ammunition the victim was holding, SAPD said.
While trying to escape, the teenager was shot once.
He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
An SAPD helicopter was sent to the area to search for the suspect, but the shooter’s whereabouts could not be located.
This is an ongoing investigation.
