On Friday morning, January 20, McKinney Police issued an Amber Alert for two missing girls who they believe were taken in by their grandmother after visiting their father. Police are looking for Jessica, 9, and Jennifer Burns, 6, who are believed to be with a 60-year-old woman named Jaime Burns, according to Amber Alert.

Police say Burns is the girls’ grandmother and drives a black SUV, but the make, model, year, and license plate are currently unknown. Police say the SUV has a scratch on the front, silver door handles and a black interior. Burns is described as a 5’2″ white woman with brown hair who was last seen wearing black clothing.

On Friday morning, the McKinney Police Department tweeted that the girls had been abducted and believe the girls are in grave or imminent danger. The tweet includes a photo of their grandmother. The girls were last seen shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday, January 19, at a restaurant near the Central Expressway and Virginia Parkway near McKinney. At the time, they had a supervised visit to their father.

Jennifer was last seen wearing purple glasses, a light blue shirt with a glittery design on the front, and blue jeans. Jessica wore dark-rimmed glasses, a red long-sleeve shirt with black sleeves, and blue jeans. Both girls have shoulder-length blond hair. The girls were reported missing on Thursday.
