The chase results in a car crashing into a METRORail train in downtown Houston, HPD said.

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Three people are recovering Wednesday morning after a stalking suspect crashed into a METRORail train in downtown Houston Tuesday night.

Police say the driver was driving when Houston police tried to stop the traffic. The chase continued until the suspect vehicle crashed into a METRORail train in the 2200 block of N. Main Street around 11:30 p.m., causing the train to derail.

Six people were on the train at the time of the accident, including the driver. Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was arrested and suffered minor injuries.

The police found that the car was stolen and there were drugs in it.
