The Houston man was arrested on the international bridge in Brownsville, officials said.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Cameron County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a Houston man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Victor Manuel De Leon, 27, was taken into custody Sunday at the Veterans International Bridge in Brownsville in connection with a warrant issued by Harris County alleging he was involved in organized crime, according to the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies contacted the US Customs officers who held De Leon in custody, the sheriff’s office said.

“After further investigation, the warrant was confirmed by a Cameron County dispatch and a deputy took De Leon into custody,” the sheriff’s office said.

De Leon has been placed in the Carrisales Rucker Detention Center and is awaiting extradition, authorities said on Monday.
