The man was charged with 8 charges in connection with the New Year’s chase with officers in Pflugerville.

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A man was arrested Sunday after court records say he evaded police officers in a car that was reportedly stolen.

Court records state that the camera hit a stolen vehicle located near Wells Branch Parkway and Dessau Road, and the Pflugerville Patrol Police Department found the vehicle at the intersection of Farm-to-Market 685 and Pfennig Lane in Pflugerville.

When police activated the hazard lights and sirens to stop the car and the suspect, the suspect quickly drove over the curb and through the flower beds onto FM 685, according to the records.

The records say that officers found a firearm inside the stolen car, which was also reported as stolen.

Court documents stated that Davis was a registered felon and was charged on November 19.

Travis County prison records list seven charges related to the incident and bail totaling $175,000. Fees included the following:

  • unauthorized use of the vehicle
  • firearm theft

Travis County Jail records also listed a parole violation charge in Davis’ file.
