This is an “instrument zoo” event that includes music-themed games and activities, orchestra stories, meet and greets with New Texas Sinfonia performers, live performances, and a giveaway for concert tickets. Sit back with a day of reading, Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St., Longview. Families can drop by anytime, grab a few books, and spend the day reading together in the Moeschle meeting room or in the children’s section. Special activities throughout the day include: at 10:00 a.m., the Boy Scouts of America will read stories aloud to children; 11:00 a.m., community partners and volunteers from the city of Longview join for reading time; 12:00, hugs and snacks; 13:00, ETX Paws For A Cause therapy dogs will be available for children to meet and read stories to them.
