WEAVER 40, WELBORN 32: Aaliyah Marks scored 10 of her 13 points in the second half as the Lady Bearcats pulled away after Wellbourn broke through in the second quarter to take the lead at halftime.

The Lady Panthers scored 13 points in the second quarter to take a 19–14 lead at halftime, but Weaver doubled the home team’s score in the second half to take the win.

“After the first half, I just told the girls we needed to get tested,” Weaver coach Jamie Burns said. “We didn’t play the way we should. We came back after the half, made the right choice and played better in the team ball.

Anna Odom led Wellborn with 23 points.
