TxDOT Opens Overpass for Williamson County Drivers

ROUND ROCK, TX (KXAN) — The Texas Department of Transportation opened a flyover for drivers in Williamson County Friday.

TxDOT reported that crews opened the RM 620 flyover eastbound on Chisholm Trail at 5am.

According to TxDOT’s announcement, the overpass starts at Briarwood Drive and allows drivers to pass Chisholm Trail and get to Interstate 35. Drivers can also take Frontal 620 eastbound to get to Chisholm Trail.

Drivers heading west on 620 are not yet affected. TxDOT said on Thursday that the western section of the overpass will reopen “in the coming weeks, weather permitting.”

According to TxDOT, this is part of the RM 620 roundabout project in Williamson County.
