The Texas Department of Transportation announced that sections of Interstate 30 in Rockwall County will close early next month as part of an ongoing construction project:
Weather permitting, all lanes of I-30 will be closed on Dulrock Road from Monday, February 6 at 9:00 pm to Tuesday, February 7 at 5:00 am, and again from Tuesday, February 7 at 9:00 pm to Wednesday at 5:00 am , February 8. for the installation of a bridge beam as part of an ongoing construction project. All traffic will be redirected to secondary roads.
Dalrock Road. will be closed at I-30, however westbound I-30 traffic will have access to north Dalrock Rd. Drivers are asked to plan ahead for additional travel time.
As progress continues, check drivetexas.org for daily lane closures. Any major planned closure will be announced in advance.
The $142 million I-30 Corridor Extension Project will build new front vehicular bridges across Ray Hubbard Lake from Bass Pro Drive to Dalrock Road. In addition, Dalrock Rd. connection will be restored. Future projects will widen I-30 and add continuous front roads throughout Rockwall County. The work is part of TxDOT Texas Clear Lanes’ efforts to reduce congestion in major metropolitan areas.
